Coach

Please buy me this purse, or one similar. I have wanted this purse for SO long. I found it for dirt cheap on ebay. It's usually well over $300.00. That is if you can out bid the other bidders. I like the "patchwork" purse from coach with a strap long enough to put around my shoulder and big enough to hold all my stuff. I also like the brownish colors with zebra print and blue colors. A matching wallet would be ideal too. I got the idea to ask for something I really wanted from my sister. Its a good idea. I hope I get it! It never hurts to ask right. You can find it here:

Las Vegas!

I just got back from Las Vegas. I had such a great time. My little sisters wedding was beautiful. Her husband dropped the ring and she stumbled over the vows once but other than that it was perfect. The food was good and we all had fun. We went to Circus Circus so my nieces could play and I went to The Hard Rock Hotel/Casino and got to do some people watching. That was very interesting. Going there in the middle of the night is fascinating. There are some different people there. I was so tired that I took a nap the next day. I don't do that very often. We went to the MGM Grand to eat at the Rainforest Cafe. My nieces had a great time looking at the baby monkeys and enjoyed the thunderstorms. We spent time with my Dad swimming at his house, having a picnic in the park with the best sandwiches, port of subs, and hanging out. It was sad to come home.
Swimming at my Dad's house.
Here comes the bride. My little sister walking down the isle. My dad is hard to see. He is the one to her right. Her step dad is the one to her left.
My dad giving her away.
First kiss as husband and wife.
First dance.
Daddy daughter dance. They danced to the Temptations, My Girl.
My nieces dancing at the reception. That little boy is my ex step sisters son. He was a ladies man.
Sierra fell asleep on her mama after a long day of swimming and playing at the park.
My niece looking at one of the many fish tanks at the Rainforest Cafe in the MGM Grand. They loved the baby monkey and the thunderstorms. It was freezing in the restaurant and we couldn't wait to get out of there.
My niece at Circus Circus.
On the way home. This is the new bridge at the Hoover Dam. It should open in June and will help ease the traffic through the Dam and should make it easier to get to and from Las Vegas!

Part 2 of the Things I like that others might think are weird or crazy.

1. Putting frozen grape juice concentrate on vanilla ice cream.

2. Peeling skin off a sunburn. (I stole this from my sister.)

3. Putting salt on watermelon. (Some like this but most just think I'm weird.)

4. Eating hamburger meat and rice. (It reminds me of a trip with my sister and her husband when I was young!)

5. Taking scalding hot showers. So hot that my skin turns bright red.

6. Picking scabs/zits.

7. Biting my bottom lip so hard I get a blood blister. I don't do it anymore though.

8. Pulling my eyelashes out in times of stress or anxiety.

9. Watching episodes of FRIENDS over and over.

10. Eating ramon noodles raw.

My Crazy things...

These are a list of things that I like that others might not like so much or may even find a little strange:

1. Hot dogs with cream cheese inside the hot dog.
2. Drinking buttermilk.
3. The smell of my cat, Abby's, breath.
4. The sound of my boyfriend snoring.
5. Staying up all night.
6. Cheeseburgers cooked in lard.
7. Eating lemons.
8. Not taking a shower.
9. Having my butt scratched (not that I've ever had this done before, mom).
10. Putting parmesan cheese on popcorn.

Now you do 10 things!

Heart Attack Grill...

Stephen and I went to a place called the Heart Attack Grill a few weeks ago and it was crazy. They do not serve anything healthy. Not the best place to go if you are trying to lose weight like Stephen and I are. It was a place we had seen on TV and had wanted to go for a long time. We did not eat all day and decided to head over and eat. We both managed to each eat a double bypass and a few fries. It was very good and now no burger compares to that greasy unhealthy heart stopper. It is too unhealthy to go back anytime soon or even this year but it was quite an experience. If you are over 350 lbs you eat a for free. They have a scale to weigh you in and the "nurse" that waited on us said there are a lot of people that come in over 350 lbs to eat. Crazy. Please watch the video.

Joseph's Birthday...

So today July 3rd is my biological son, Joseph's, 10th birthday! I think of him often but especially on this day and think about the horrible pain I went through 10 years ago but also how wonderful it was to see his beautiful face. His cute little fingers and toes made me smile and his hair was long and dark brown. The nurses put his hair into a little Mohawk, it was adorable. He was the most precious thing I have ever seen and nothing has ever come close. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me and I miss him very much. He has the best parents and the life that I wanted for him. He says that I am "The best birth mother in the whole entire solar system, that he loves me, and that he can't wait to meet me!" I couldn't ask for anything more when it comes to a birth son. He is wonderful and happy. I do wonder what he looks like but I bet he is a looker and will be a heart breaker when he gets older. What a sad day for me but I am a proud birth mother and I realize that I am one year closer to meeting him again. I made cup cakes in honor of him and may watch the video tape I have of him when he was a baby. I also take out his baby blanket for a few days. I am sure he is having a fun day and getting spoiled. He loved the presents I sent him and I hope he gets some other good presents! He knows why I gave him up and is thankful to me. I am thankful to his parents for telling him such great things about me so that Joseph and I can have such a loving relationship.

From Gods Arms to My Arms to Yours

By Michael McLean

With so many wrong decisions in my past, I'm not quite sure
if I can ever hope to trust my judgement anymore.
But lately I've been thinking, 'cause it's all I've had to do.
And in my heart I feel that I should give this child to you.

(Chorus)
And maybe you can tell your baby,
when you love him so, that he's been loved before;
By someone who delivered your son
From God's arms, to my arms, to yours.

If you choose to tell him, and if he wants to know,
How the one who gave him life could bear to let him go;
Just tell him there were sleepless nights; I prayed and paced the floors
And knew the only peace I'd find is if this child was yours.

(Chorus)

Now I know that you don't have to do this,
But could you kiss him once for me
The first time that he ties his shoes, or falls and skins his knee?
And could you hold him twice as long when he makes his mistakes,
And tell him that he's not alone, sometimes that's all it takes.
I know how much he'll ache.

This may not be the answer for another girl like me;
But I'm not on a soapbox saying how we all should be.
I'm just trusting in my feelings and I'm trusting God above,
And I'm trusting you can give this baby
Both his mothers' love.

(Chorus)
